About Meghan Hurley
I am a recent graduate of Wake Forest University ('19). At Wake Forest, I studied Business and Enterprise Management and concentrated on Social Impact, focusing on how companies merge profit with purpose. Simultaneously, I explored an Interdisciplinary Writing Minor through which I reignited my passion for putting pen to paper, fingers to keyboard. My dream is to have a creative entrepreneurial venture that serves a social purpose.
One of my passions is advocating for gender equality in the workplace and in society more broadly. When I am not busy with this, writing, or working, I love to play with my dog Joel, go to concerts, and run in Spartan Races. My family is my center and my friends are my support. Want to know more? WAKE FOREST WOMEN IN BUSINESS
During the fall semester of my senior year at Wake Forest, a colleague and I joined forces to combat gender issues in a business context for undergraduates by forming a group on campus for Women in Business. What started as an idea for a one-time supportive event soon grew into an established group with over 20 members. Wake Forest Women in Business continues to reform our vision and gain support on campus.
LATTES AND LINKEDIN
This spring, Wake Forest Women in Business decided we wanted to put on our very first outreach event on campus to provide resources to undergraduates and spread the word about our group. The event was a LinkedIn workshop held in the middle of April called "Lattes and LinkedIn," and required strategic marketing to attract participants.
